What we do:
Montessori classrooms have a 3 year age range. Preschool classes consist of 3, 4, & 5 year-old children while our full day program has 4, 5, & 6 year-old children.
Each classroom is furnished with beautiful, age-appropriate educational materials to which children are naturally drawn. The children receive individual lessons from teachers on how to work with these materials. There are five areas in the classroom: Practical Life, Sensorial, Math, Language, and Culture. Each area has its own series of activities, addressing the developmental needs of 3 to 5 year-old children.
Philosophy:
Our school provides a wonderful learning environment; what makes it so precious is that the children we serve are at such a critical foundational time in their lives. During these formative years, the children will develop their ability to do work and to learn. They will also become capable, intelligent and independent individuals with the belief in their capacity that they can learn and become passionate life-long learners.
Most importantly, the students will form a strong attachment to the teachers and to the classroom environment as a whole. When children are meaningfully attached, happy and loved, they work peacefully and naturally; and therefore, they will learn a great deal.
